Welcome to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil:

Yes, Rio de Janeiro is always top rated among the most beautiful cities in the world. It really is stunning. The mix of water and mountains as the city background is unique and unforgettable.  But it's the culture of the city that brings people back again and again. Cariocas (residents of Rio) refer proudly to their city as the Cidade Maravilhosa (Marvelous City).  As you get to know it, you will soon discover that they are not exaggerating.

World-class attractions such as the Pão de Acucar, the statue of Christ the Redeemer atop lush Corcovado, and beaches such as Ipanema and Copacabana are just the beginning.  This really is an ideal city to visit, to study, and to enjoy!

The Summit Study Abroad program in Brazil will be finely woven into the city of Rio de Janeiro, making the most of its landmarks and event spaces.  Special activities will include University level courses, exclusive tours and visits, evening social events and more.

Why Study Abroad in Brazil?

Picture

Not only is Rio an amazing city, but Brazil's economy is currently booming while much of the world is stuck in a recession or crisis.  This wasn't always the case.  Brazil, until relatively recently, was a country with a military dictatorship, and a history of economic crisis.  What has Brazil done well to overcome this past and to now become a relative role model for emerging economies around the globe?

Come to Brazil now with Summit Study Abroad to understand the confluence of factors that are combining to create this "magic moment" for Brazil.

Consider: "As Brazil’s economy soars — partly as a result of China’s great appetite for its commodities, like iron ore and soybeans, not to mention the oil recently found in abundance offshore — Brazil prospers. A surge in deal-making and the resilience of Brazil’s currency, the real, has attracted foreign investment bankers, hedge
fund managers and venture capitalists. Well-educated Brazilians are
returning from abroad. Compensation in some executive suites now
rivals the pay on Wall Street."
