Summer 2026 Program Update

The Summer 2026 Europe program is now full. We are no longer accepting applications.

Summer 2027

European Study Abroad with Summit Global Education, Summer 2027
Traveling study abroad programs focused on business, culture and society

Hosted by the University of New York in Prague (UNYP)
Multi-City Study Abroad | Summer 2027
Prague · London, UK · Paris, France · Barcelona, Spain · Athens, Greece
Travel with professors and classmates through multiple European cities, connecting academic coursework with real-world observation and structured reflection. This is not sightseeing alongside classes. Each city becomes part of the academic framework, allowing students to compare how institutions, organizations, and social life function across different European contexts.

  • Dates: Summer 2027
  • Credits: Earn up to 6 U.S. semester credits through our partner university, the University of New York in Prague (UNYP).
  • Courses Offered: International Business, Introduction to the European Union, Cross-Cultural Communication and Management. View all courses
  • Open to All Majors: Designed for students across business, social sciences, communication, and general education. No prior business coursework required.

What to expect:

Summit Global Education’s Europe program is designed as a comparative academic journey across regions of the European Union. Students examine how business practices, cultural norms, public institutions, and social systems vary from place to place, and why those differences matter. Programs emphasize observation, analysis, and comparison. Students are guided to move beyond surface impressions and toward understanding how local context shapes outcomes.

Program focus
Understand how business, culture, and society operate across Europe’s integrated yet diverse landscape. Shared frameworks such as EU institutions and common markets create continuity. History, policy, and local norms create variation. This program helps students learn to analyze both.

How learning happens
  • Multi-city academic travel: Each city functions as a comparative case.
  • Professional and institutional visits: Organizations, institutions, and local experts provide real-world context tied to course themes.
  • Cultural context: Neighborhoods, public spaces, and cultural sites provide essential evidence for analysis.
  • Faculty-led debriefs: Regular discussions connect observation to readings, frameworks, and assessments.

Why Europe
Europe combines shared institutions with deep regional variation. Comparing cities across countries allows students to see how similar challenges are approached differently depending on history, policy, and social structure. This comparative perspective is central to Summit’s academic model.

How the Program Works:

Phase 1: Core Academics in Prague
The program begins with an academic foundation phase. Students complete core coursework, establish shared frameworks, and build the analytical tools needed for comparative travel.
  • Daily classes and seminars
  • Faculty-led discussions
  • Local cultural and institutional visits
  • Academic preparation for travel

Phase 2: Faculty-Led Academic Travel
Students and professors travel together through multiple European cities. In each location, coursework continues alongside professional, institutional, and cultural visits. Faculty guide daily reflection to ensure continuity and academic depth.
  • Academic travel with faculty
  • Structured visits and site-based learning
  • Ongoing coursework, journals, presentations, and exams
  • Study sessions in partner universities, conference spaces, and hotels
Academic instruction continues throughout the program. Students earn credit in every phase.

  • Each student enrolls in the required EU course framework. Depending on session, students may add an additional course.

You can focus on learning, exploring, and making the most of each city—without having to worry about how you’ll get to the next stop or where you’ll stay.

OUTCOMES

Program Outcomes

By the end of the program, students leave with more than academic credit. They leave with a clearer understanding of how place, culture, and institutions shape how people work and live.
  • Comparative Global Understanding
Develop the ability to compare how business practices, social norms, and public institutions operate across different European contexts. Students learn to recognize patterns, differences, and trade-offs that emerge when moving from one city or country to another.
  • Cultural Awareness and Contextual Intelligence
Build cultural awareness through direct engagement with multiple societies. Students learn how communication styles, expectations, and everyday practices vary across cultures, and how to navigate those differences thoughtfully and respectfully.
  • Analytical and Observational Skills
Strengthen the ability to observe real-world settings, ask informed questions, and connect what is seen on the ground to academic frameworks. Faculty-led debriefs and assignments help students turn experience into structured analysis rather than surface impressions.
  • Applied Academic Experience
Apply course concepts through professional, institutional, and cultural visits that are integrated into coursework. Students use real examples gathered across cities in exams, projects, and written work, reinforcing learning through practice.
  • Academic and Professional Confidence
Gain confidence engaging in unfamiliar environments, contributing to discussions across cultures, and presenting ideas grounded in comparative evidence. These skills support academic work, interviews, and future professional settings across fields.
  • Independence and Adaptability
Develop practical independence through structured academic travel. Navigating new cities, schedules, and group dynamics helps students become more adaptable, organized, and comfortable managing complexity in changing environments.
