                                          Summit Study Abroad

We offer traveling study-abroad programs to university students during their summer and winter breaks, where we combine traditional academic courses with visits to European and multi-national companies and organizations integrating real-world lessons into the classroom setting.  Our courses range from Cross-Cultural Communications to International Business and are offered in partnership with excellent universities.

We allow students to customize their summer study-abroad program.  Depending upon their university schedule back home, students may choose to take the full 13 weeks with Summit Study Abroad .  Students with a shorter summer break may elect to study abroad with us for just two weeks, in one of our four sessions offered throughout the summer break.    We call each of these sessions "Summits", where students will take traditional academic courses offered in partnership with our European or international universities.

                                          SSA Brazil Winter Intersession
This program, ranging from two to four weeks, offers classes, professional visits and cultural tours in an itinerary that includes Rio de Janeiro, Salvador (Bahia) and the coastal region in between.  Course subjects cover language, culture, economics and politics, and classes are taught in English by a faculty of experienced university professors. Courses will be complemented, in practice, with professional visits to important companies and institutions. Classes will be taught on campus at a local Brazilian university in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.   This is a traveling study-abroad course giving a broad overview of Brazilian economy, society, business, politics and economic development, with a focus on opportunities presented by the upcoming Olympics and World Cup (both which will be hosted by Brazil in the near future).  Brazil's economy is currently booming while much of the rest of the world is coping with recession or crisis.  This wasn't always the case.  Brazil, until relatively recently, was a country with a military dictatorship, and a history of economic crisis.  What has Brazil done well to overcome this past to become a relative role model for emerging economies around the globe (mixing sun, fun, economic development, industrial policy and democracy).
