About Prague:
Prague offers an ideal setting for exploring the intersection of business, culture, and politics in Central Europe. With its strategic location, the city serves as a meeting point for Eastern and Western European markets. Students see how this history of connectivity shapes modern economic and cultural exchanges.

The city combines a thriving business sector with a well-preserved architectural heritage. From multinational firms to local startups, Prague offers a close-up view of how companies operate in a rapidly integrating yet culturally distinct region.

Prague’s charm lies in its historic streets, Gothic and Baroque architecture, and the Vltava River winding through its center. Landmarks such as Prague Castle, Charles Bridge, and the Astronomical Clock draw visitors from around the world. Cafés, theaters, and music venues keep the city lively year-round, offering students plenty of opportunities to immerse themselves in local life.

Why students love it:
Prague is one of Europe’s most beautiful and walkable cities, with cobblestone streets, Gothic spires, and a historic center that feels like a storybook. Students enjoy its café culture, vibrant nightlife, and affordable cost of living. The mix of history and youth culture makes it a unique and inspiring place to spend time.

Why it’s interesting for a Startup Trek:
Prague offers an inside look at Central Europe’s economic transformation since joining the EU. Its growing tech sector, especially in gaming, AI, and cybersecurity, is supported by a strong engineering tradition and competitive costs. Students can see firsthand how a mid-sized European capital leverages its location, talent pool, and quality of life to compete for global investment.

"Prague is the equal of Paris in terms of beauty. The history goes back a millennium. And the beer? The best in Europe.  Prague's maze of cobbled lanes and hidden courtyards is a paradise for the aimless wanderer, always beckoning you to explore a little further. Just a few blocks away from the Old Town Square you can stumble across ancient chapels, unexpected gardens, cute cafes and old-fashioned bars with hardly a tourist in sight. One of the great joys of the city is its potential for exploration"  - Read more
