Study Abroad summer 2016 (Brazil+Europe)

Traveling Multi-Location Program in Brazil + Europe

Study Abroad Courses Summer 2016

Picture
This coming summer, we will set off on a traveling study abroad program to explore Brazil, visiting Rio de Janeiro, Paraty (a coastal village on the beautiful "Green Coast"), and Sao Paulo, and we will combine this experience with some international travel as we lead the students across Europe, visiting Paris, London, Berlin, Prague, Vienna and Budapest (all in one program!).

Using these locations, we seek to carefully integrate real-world experiences back into the classroom.  Students will engage in cultural and professional visits in each city we visit, and our professors will help students to better understand how current events are inter-related with our course materials.

Students will have classes with local professors, meet local tour guides, and engage with local citizens.  Depending on the course they select, students may be sent on assignments to interview local people about current issues or cultural perceptions, and then will return to the classroom to debate and discuss, and to have that experience integrated back into the classroom discussions.

Why choose Summit?
Three main reasons:
  1. A chance to travel.  Where else do you get a chance to visit Brazil + all of these cities in Europe (all in one program)?
  2. Safe.  When you come abroad with Summit, you are coming abroad with an experienced team, and you will study at one of the best universities in Brazil and in Paris
  3. Affordable.  It is our mission to provide an incredible study abroad experience at an affordable price

“There is no doubt that I would recommend the Summit Program.  I thought the flow of the program as perfect, not too overwhelming but always something to do.  It’s important to find that balance in a study abroad program and I think Summit has managed to do so.  I truly believe this is one of the best programs out there.  Thanks again!”  -  William Croghan, Miami University
