Professional & Cultural visits:
  • In both Barcelona and Prague, students taking the BPU option with the Global Summit programs will participate in professional visits to European and International companies and organizations, along with the other students attending the Global Summit programs (space is limited on some visits, so please enroll and confirm your spot soon!)

Advising and Support
  • Flights:  Consult with our team to choose the best arrival, departure and connecting flights for your program. 
  • Housing:  Our team is here to offer our suggestions. While in Barcelona or Prague, we have a ton of recommended options to fit any budget or lifestyle. Beyond these cities, we are also here to help you find and plan your journey.  Know you will be visiting Florence, Italy?  Why not let us know, and let us help you plan your trip!
  • Insurance:  Need help selecting the right travel insurance? We are here to help!

Online Course Syllabi and Descriptions
  • Summit Study Abroad recognizes that credit approval is one of the most important steps in your study abroad planning. We give you the tools online to assist in your credit approval process.
  • Online course descriptions including language of instruction, recommended credits and contact hours
  • Syllabi available for download with more specific information on course curriculum

Onsite Orientation
  • In both Barcelona + Prague, we will provide you a comprehensive orientation with useful insider tips and advice to help you adjust to your new environment.
  • Activities to get to know the other students on your program (we will also try to organize events for you to get to know local students as well!)
  • Advice on safety and getting around in your new city

Pre-Departure Assistance
  • Summit Study Abroad is committed to helping both you and your parents feel prepared for your study abroad experience.
  • Pre-Departure Packet with information on what to pack, climate, culture shock, local customs, safety, travel suggestions, and much more
  • City-specific handbooks include maps, passport and visa information, and staff contact numbers
  • Special mailing for parents upon request with specific program and billing information

Budgeting assistance
  • Help with budgeting for airfare, additional meals and personal expenses
  • Local tips on how to save money while abroad
  • Help setting up your account useful online crowd-sourcing fundraising tool
 
Credit Transfer (Two courses, up to 6 credits)
  • Depending on which session is selected, students can take up to two three-credit academic courses 

Tuition and University Registration
  • All Summit program prices cover the cost of tuition and basic fees at the host institution. Before your departure, Summit also offers you advice on how to ensure proper transfer of the college credits you will earn abroad.  Our Academic Relations Team will work with you and your school regarding credit transfer.

Personalized Advising:
  • Our goal is to personally get to know each student, and to offer personalized advising: helping students not only select the best program and courses, but also offering advice about daily life abroad. 
  • Advising on the credit transfer process at your home university. 
  • Student visa and immigration information 
  • Helpful financial aid assistance and planning options.
