Study Abroad in Brazil - Summer Intersession
July - August 2013

Explore Brazil:  This is an intensive month-long program with ESPM, the #1 ranked school in Brazil.  Students will travel across Brazil with professors visiting Rio de Janeiro, Paraty, and Sao Paulo.

Students will take stimulating courses with excellent professors and will have the opportunity to learn about Brazil through professional visits to leading Brazilian companies and organizations.

Our mission is to make you fall in love with Brazil (if you havent done so already).  Throughout a month of classes and visits, students will gain a broad overview of Brazilian culture, economy, society, business, and politics with a focus on opportunities presented by the upcoming Olympics and World Cup.

All majors welcome:  students interested in international relations, economics, cultural studies, languages, political science, history, business, and more.

Why Brazil matters:
  • Brazil is the "heavy-weight" of South America (the largest country in size, wealth and influence)
  • Brazil is the worlds 6th largest economy, and has a land-mass roughly the sames size as the continental USA
  • As one of the so-called BRIC's, Brazil has been one of the fastest-growing economies over the past decade
  • Students looking to work in international careers should definitely consider adding Brazilian experience to their resumes
  • Over the past few decades, Brazil has proven to be an essential part in global business, with over 80% of the Fortune top 500 companies having subsidiaries in Brazil
